Although at times, she takes on the persona of a dignified, mature noblewoman, but is just as quick to delve in maniacal laughter either way with quite a theatrical caliber. On the surface, Beatrice seems like an especially cruel person, delighting in the violent deaths of the people on Rokkenjima and enjoying playing mind games with Battler for her own amusement. Throughout End of the Golden Witch, she's seen with her hair down which is the form given to Chick Beato. Her human form (which Beato the Elder also takes) wears a collared shirt with a cropped jacket and tie, a ruffled mini skirt, striped stockings, and boots and usually holds a cane with an eagle head as the handle.
She also wears the Ushiromiya successor ring on her left middle finger and also sometimes seen holding a gold smoking pipe. While her exact appearance varies depending on adaptation Beatrice takes the form of a young Western woman with ginger blonde hair and blue eyes, wearing a bow adorned with a rose in her hair, a choker, and ballgown-like dress.

However, in the Meta World she would enter into a series of "games" with Battler Ushiromiya, still unconvinced that magic was behind the murders. And in October 1986, she would seemingly carry out a series of murders as part of the ritual to resurrect her in corporal form again. In 1984, a portrait of her would be put up on display in the main hall of the mansion with an epitaph that seems to be the outline of a ritual sacrifice. The two would fall in love, but Kinzo loved her so much he imprisoned her in a mortal body before being freed by a young Rosa. Centuries later she would meet, Kinzo Ushiromiya, selling his soul for ten tons of gold which he'd use to rebuild the Ushiromiya family fortune.
In Banquet of the Golden Witch, we see a flashback to her as a child, having broken a vase (apparently belonging to her grandfather) before a witch named Virgilia (who held the title of Beatrice at the time) fixed it with magic, the young girl being instantly drawn by magic and wanting to become her apprentice. Beatrice claims to be a great and powerful witch who's lived for a thousand years.
